Diego Cachón Ramon is currently working on his PhD at the Education in Knowledge Society PhD program (University of Salamanca) and is a member of OCA. He obtained his BA on Audiovisual Communication and his MA on the Research on Audiovisual Communication at the University of Salamanca. His doctoral dissertation (on which he is now working) is entitled The Power of Narrative Formats in the Improvement of Attitudes towards Socially Stigmatized Groups: Effects of Empathy and Similarity in terms of Social Identity.

From April 2017, for a period of four years, he became part of the Research Personnel in Training at the University of Salamanca, thanks to the granting of a grant for predoctoral contracts for the training of doctors (BES-2016-077221), In the State Program of Training of the State Program for the Promotion of Talent and its Employability, within the framework of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation (2013-2016) by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (with co-financing from the European Social Fund). In addition, obtaining this help is possible to link Doctoral Thesis to the project financed “Narrative tools to reduce prejudice, effects of similarity, imagined contact, emotion and narrative voice” (CSO2015-67611-P), from the State Program for the Promotion of Scientific and Technical Research of Excellence, directed by Juan José Igartua.
